Main Responsibilities
 
Job Description:
  • With support from the Admin & Finance Manager:
  • Manage administrative function and establish internal administrative systems and controls.
  • Manage all administrative, contractual and operational aspects of the Purchasing.
  • Prepare the Purchasing budget for review by the department head.
  • Administer, control and coordinate budget and expenditures. Seek approval on requisitions, field purchase orders, procurement card expenditures and contracts. Manage and ensure timely completion of projects within the fiscal year and appropriated funding level.
  • Manage large-scale centralized purchasing and contract functions for programs and project hat requires items with unique requirements as to construction, testing, durability, or quality characteristics.
  • Measure vendor performance. Cancel the contract, suspend or implement debarment proceedings on vendors not meeting performance requirements.
  • Responsible for procurement activities including finding good suppliers and negotiate with them
  • Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures
  • Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and the supplier's reputation and history
  • To have up to date knowledge of related procurement legislation
  • Ensure the smooth operations of the WEG office
  • Negotiate prices, leases, and contracts on behalf of WEG
  • Take initiative on cutting costs without compromising quality.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of physical assets and office, including vehicles, equipment, furniture, and office building.
  • Ensure security of office, staff, and physical assets belonging to the organization.
  • Assist in knowledge management process
  • Frequently find new suppliers
  • All administrative tasks assigned by the Head of Department
  • Perform additional tasks as required

Education:
Bachelors degree from HEC recognized university
Eligibility: Masters in HR or MBA

Experience
  • 0 - 2 years exposure to purchase practices Work experience in relevant sector Knowledge
  • Knowledge of bids, tenders and quotations, market rates and vendors
  • Basic years experience in the procurement/contract field is preferred.
  • However, any equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform
  • job duties may be considered.

Deadline:

Job Type Project Based – till 31 December, 2014st

Salary Band Rs.30,000 to 35,000
